Interesting how, you say?
No, a baby isn't on the horizon. But? My health care plan just got some startling news. In 2017, the plan will be undergoing sweeping changes as we move to a new way of providing care. Though not all the changes will be good, one of them certainly is... There is a large chance that at least some of IVF/fertility costs will be covered by my new plan, unlike now. That's thousands of dollars of possible savings, which could really help out a lot.
It would mean stretching out the current plan another year; overall that's not terrible, as it would give me more time to pay off the house/put money away for daycare costs. It would be emotionally hard waiting.
To facilitate this waiting, I've added another furkid to the family -- supercutetabby! He's adorable, and cradling him/babying him is really helping to divert all those mothering instincts.
As kitten is currently treating my back like Mount Everest, this is also a really great patience builder. ;b
He's playing coy today, so here's a side profile. ^^
