I do have some rules about commenting, and reserve the right to edit or delete as necessary to maintain them. I will not discuss this with the commenter before I do so. Failure to consistently adhere to these rules may result in a ban from commenting on the site.
- Comments deemed to be sexist, sizest, racist, classist, or otherwise mean-spirited will be deleted without discussion. Note that this doesn't mean challenges faced by a single group cannot be discussed; clear, non-hate-filled discussion may occur. An example of such would be on the extra challenges of being a choice mom in poverty, extra risk stats on short moms, or on being a choice dad.
- Comments thought to be spam or possibly spam will be deleted. Feel free to include a link to relevant content, but I don't want to "See how you lost four billion pound of belly fat with one quick tip". :D
- Comments spewing profanity or insults will be deleted. I define what is and is not an insult.
- Comments spewing MRA sewer logic will be deleted, and you will be banned from commenting again on the page. You can talk about those subjects/views on your own page. I maintain the right to keep it off mine.
- I support a policy of Health At Every Size; feel free to read up on it. Any posts insulting people for the size, concern-trolling about fat and pregnancy, and otherwise fat-shaming us fluffy choicers outside of clearly denounced posts re: pregnancy and size are banned. I will be addressing the statistics and issues of fluffy choice tryers throughout my blog.
- Be nice to each other. If I see you not following this simple rule, comments will start disappearing. We want dialogue, not running mascara. Address the idea, not the person presenting it.
- If you post on my blog, you are fully responsible for anything you post. Any comments posted immediately go into public domain, unless otherwise stated.
- Stay on topic. If we're all talking about baseball on post X, a detailed rant about superman is a no go. Depending on the quality of your rant, I may or may not go to the effort of moving it to the correct post. ^^
This comment policy may change over time.
