[Small Steps] Talking to My GP

One of the things that I'm getting off many of the choice mom boards is that things are a lot easier if you have a family doctor on board for the trip.

You can save money on seeing a Reproductive Endocrinologist, you can save money on sperm shipment, you have someone advocating for you on getting you pregnant as efficiently as possible, rather than the RE just meadering along, "Doing you a Favour" by being slow and giving you more time to meet a man/change your mind.

So I spoke with my GP.

She was flabbergasted that I was thinking of this; " You are WAY too young, you'll meet someone". I had a frank talk with her, and by the end of the conversation, she had agreed that this is something that she could support me with, and would sign for any shipments I needed her to. She even volunteered to write a note saying how much thought I had put into the issue, if necessary for a fertility clinic, and will be doing research on the various options for me, when I get closer to "go" time.

I love my GP.

One step closer.
